Hemel Rotary Santa Sleigh

2023 is the 8th year of our Hemel Rotary Santa Sleigh.  Bringing joy to the children (and adults) of Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley and Abbots Langley.

25 street by street routes will be undertaken this year between 25th November and 23rd December as well as a number of static collections giving children the opportunity to have their photograph taken with Santa or indeed Mrs Claus.

Once again, we are extremely grateful to our collector organisations who help each street by street routes and our Friends of Rotary who assist with the Static collections.

Last year, our Santa Sleigh activity raised £15000 to donate back to the local community.

Donations of £350 were made to each of our collector organisations and donations of £200 were made to 26 local groups and organisations (see Beneficiaries).

Additionally, donations were made to Collett School to contribute to the cost of pupils attending Kids Out at Whipsnade Zoo, Frogmore Mill, Leverstock Green Cricket Club and DCT.

We are always looking for helpers during our very active Christmas season.  Especially with our static collections.

So if you feel you could assist by doing a shift at a static collection, being a Santa or Mrs Claus or if you have a tow bar on your car and fancy towing the sleigh. Please contact us.
